Everyone back on property by April. Application window opening according to HR on their hiring FB site. And check airmen have been hired and are being trained for “a lot” of hiring. Seeing is believing but I’ll take the positive vibes ! Can’t wait to welcome everyone who wants to be part of the family. Still a very happy camper here

Hey so you're in the pool and they emailed you guys today? I'm in a group of guys who interviewed at nk end of March and got the thumbs up to continue to 'part 4' of the the hiring process once things clear up, but haven't heard to much yet. Just wondering if you'd heard anything about that

Not totally dismissing it, but do you have a source other than APC? People at Spirit have said that management has stated hiring is unlikely in 2021 and only by the end of the year at best. One recent post on their APC page simply states a rumor of 16/month (hardly what I would consider "ramped up") obtained from their flight attendant page.
Having said that, for the sake of our Spirit brethren, I do hope it's true. Good news for them and great news for the unemployed pilot's that have been left out in the cold.
Stated for the sake of pilot's in the F9 pool: The CEO's last video update to us said that block hours are coming up quickly (proven to be true) and their current projections and expectations have us operating at nearly 100% by the end of March. I'm sure it will actually fall slightly short of that, but still pretty good given the state of the industry right now.

As we plan for the recovery and return of business demand this spring, summer and beyond, I wanted to let you know of our current plans to re-start the hiring and training of Flight Attendants and Pilots.
Flight Attendant Hiring and Training
We’re excited to announce that our first initial flight attendant training will be held at our training center in Cheyenne, WY beginning on March 22nd. During our pandemic-induced break in initial training, our Inflight Training Team has been able to upgrade and expand our curriculum with new content and an expanded focus on the customer experience. We anticipate graduating approximately 60 flight attendants from that program in April. Current plans have us starting a new class every month thereafter in 2021. To keep our newest crew members safe, we are implementing a strict set of health and safety protocols that everyone will be asked to follow.
While initial classes will be made up of candidates that were screened and selected in 2020, we will re-start virtual flight attendant hiring events in March to fill future classes.
Pilot Hiring and Training
Just as exciting is the growth and upgrades within our pilot group. Upgrade classes for first officers will begin in March to balance our captain/first officer ratios. We anticipate re-starting the hiring of new first officers in March with our first new hire class scheduled for July.
As has been the case with much of the last 10 months, our plans will continue to be flexible and will respond to any significant changes in the business forecast. However, we should all be excited that after what seems like way too long, progress and growth are on the horizon. There’s a lot of flying ahead and we’re excited to be adding to our already exceptional crews.
