If your badge doesn’t say a specific Phonetic Letter of the Alphabet, the ATL commute is tough. Be gone, budget pilot! I’m not going to bid ATL for this reason! You’ll get your cardio in, I guess there’s that! A-E or B-D-C then A for your 4th shot.. Gate agents there are… less than helpful… So yea, commuter grave yard.

Who are you competing against? Delta currently has positive space commuting so the jumpseat is almost never booked. I think I’ve had a total of 2 jump seat riders in the last 18 months. The Atlanta gate agents sure are a surly bunch though and often working flights by themselves making it even worse.

I heard a rumor recently that PHX is now going to happen before ATL for pilots. In ground school they are still stating that ATL will be Q1 and PHX will be Q2 or Q3, so who knows?
