But 1 Billion sure doesn't buy an airline like Spirit.
Spirit and Allegiant are both worth at least 3 or 4 Billion.

Or it may just look better for their IPO to have some cash in the bank and not everything tied up in a bunch of different foreign carriers. Who knows... In the private equity world indigo is a small fish compared to the big whales. Maybe they need the cash to retain a controlling interest when the ipo kicks off.
