Frontier Direct Program

Anyone seen this? ATP advertising program with Frontier that lets CFIs go directly to FO at Frontier and skipping the regionals.

Speaking of big news.. Have you heard that Michael Jackson died!?

Joking aside, we have several such programs. Purdue and Embry-Riddle as well. Don’t go to ATP based on this alone as it’s not a guarantee. First you have to get hired by ATP to be an instructor (also not a guarantee) and then be hand selected to interview with Frontier.

Also, while the Purdue and ERAU folks have done well in training at Fronter,, the rumor is that the ATP people have not been so impressive. Not all have made it through. Take the rumor for what it’s worth.

“We landed on the moon!”

sorry

The sample size of new hires from ERAU, Purdue and ATP are very small and we probably shouldn't draw any conclusions from them yet.

For what it's worth, at my previous airline I did interviews and the ATP guys all seemed very sharp and knowledgeable. Ive never done any training there, but I've interviewed a good number of them and they all knew their stuff well... of course young people generally are good at memorizing numbers

Anecdotally, I've flown with a handful of ATP/Purdue FO's and they're all humble, eager to learn, and simply fine. Can't tell a huge difference between them and a regional FO, but I've heard that those that are here were the creme de la creme of their respective schools. One of them told me that there are actually fewer than 10 ATP people here at F9 and like 10,000+ ATP grads. Do the math and listen to TOGALOCK....

I know a guy that knows a guy.....but apparently some of your new CFI>FOs came from CAE in Phoenix. I haven't seen that partnership advertised though.

I would not call them the crème de la crème. They knew people. Some of those guys failed multiple checkrides and or had issues. But they were humble but to call them the best is a stretch out of 10000 students. It’s like everything else, it’s who you know.
