Pemco is owned by ATSG, publicly held, indigo is not listed as a top 10 share holder, which, if they did have an interest, would make them low single digit percentage or less. Data available through many financial websites.

Headed to the MTC in Miami next month. I only have a handful of turbine time, is it worth going now at the risk of getting a “call back in 6 months” or good chance I can get hired even with just a R-ATP and a few hours turbine?

Side question: do you guys see frontier trending towards 1 day trips long term or is this a temporary thing.

TIA

Not sure the answer to your first question. As for the second, I don’t think Barry himself would be able to answer that. The only constant at F9 is change. God only knows what kinds of things we will be complaining about on here a year from now.

Go to the MTC, ask your questions there. Most people aren’t actually “interviewed” at these events, it’s just a way to get noticed and hopefully get a call quicker, so it can’t hurt to go. But I THINK the posted minimums (500 turbine and a full ATP) will still apply unless you’re one of the Purdue or Riddle pilots.

I recently talked with a Frontier recruiter, who confirmed that you still must have an ATP to be hired. Always subject to change down the road, of course.

So long as you have an ATP in hand (restricted or not) you are hireable and the MTC would be a great way to get noticed.

I think I know the answer, but how's the QOL for someone who would always been commuting at Frontier? Pay would be secondary.

Things change and all depends on where you’re commuting from to which base, but pretty awful and I’d try to go any other place first.

Thanks. We're living in Iowa, I know we're stubborn but we're not moving either. Maybe airlines aren't the best fit, but exploring all options at this point.

You can commute out of Iowa and have a fine airline career.

The great QOL at Frontier is definitely for those living in base. If you are going to commit to a long term commute, I'd look very hard at domiciles, time zones, and the number of flights to those domiciles. You definitely want to find an airline that has a base as close to you and with as much frequency of service as possible. That being said, I would think a commute to Chicago from Iowa might be you best bet. Maybe United would be best for you?
