Frontier Cadet Program

Hi everyone!

I’m reaching the final process for the cadet program at Frontier. I have a virtual interview next month. As someone who’s never done a real airline interview and honestly isn’t good at interviewing in general what can I expect? Any tips and things I can look at to help prepare!

Thank you all

If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

If you've failed a checkride, they'll ask about it.

Man up, take responsibility for it. If you give even a hint of blaming someone else, you'll be reapplying in six months

Raven careers, emerald coast or others will prep you with all you need to know if you are bad at interviews.

I see it mentions minimum experience required for completion is minimums listed by frontier. (It doesn’t mention them.) Does this include R-ATP candidates? Also curious if you’re required to get CFII and MEI? Good luck to you all. It’s great to see progress in the way of opportunity for pilots. Not quite as good as the 250hr days for panam. But still great!

Don't lie.

Be yourself. Too many people try alter themselves for a job/candidacy/cadetship/whatever and end up miserable.

Think about what sets you apart from other candidates. During the interview, highlight those aspects of your character & do so in a way that doesn't disparage others.

Get an interview prep by one of the interview prep companies. Best $ you’ll ever spend.

All good Info thank you everyone!

I found some questions on Reddit that people were asked as well. I’m a CFI currently and should be at 1500 by the end of the year. Amazes me to think I could go straight to Frontier; I don’t want to mess anything up!

Well in order to be eligible you need to be an ATP Student or grad. ATP it’s part 61 so no r-atp.

Wait, so can you actually apply to Cadet Program if you have your hours already? I thought it's designed for people who want start their flight training

I believe he said he’ll have his hours by the end of the year. Sounds like he’s got a ways to go, from a time building perspective.

If you look at the page it’s looks as it’s designed that way. However, no where does it mention that you need to be a new student at ATP, just that you have to graduate from there. You don’t even need to work at ATP which is a plus for many. I decided to apply when I heard about it and have been going through the process and no one has said anything thus far. Then I read on Reddit of people applying with hours already so that confirmed what I thought.
