I see we have expanded service now flying from 19 cities to the island and we opened a maintenance facility down there. Besides getting destroyed every other year from a hurricane it seems like a nice spot to launch Southbound. Cheap gates with room to expand…good base prospect perhaps.

I was in recurrent recently, and DS came in and spoke with us for a bit. Someone asked about the possibility of an SJU base. His response was if he could figure out a way to make an SJU base possible, he would do it. But so far can't make it happen.

what would stop them from making it a base?

I’m guessing one of the road blocks would be a lack of pilots willing to live in base. All of your pilots being commuters would be a logistical nightmare, I’m sure. Although I have spoken to at least two guys who are looking to purchase a home down there.

Can’t even get water or toilet paper there for flights…no way your running a base there

Unlikely with current contract rates. New contract is also unlikely.

Well with a surplus of pilots and absolutely no pilot shortage “BB” you’re right.

She is never correct. I don't know what frontier did to her, but she is extremely bitter over her time here. Not surprised United picked her up though having seen the candidates get hired there.
