How Junior are the FL bases? And how long after getting hired can I get a FL base(I don’t mind being on reserves since I live near MCO)

MIA went to a new hire last class. MCO takes about 1-2 bid cycles so 4-6 months. TPA a couple more bid cycles than MCO.

www.fftpilots.com for more detailed info

MCO and MIA are pretty junior. TPA is a little over half a year. all within reach under 1 year for sure.

If you got questions about F9 - fftpilots.com

If you have a cough, minor injury or even COVID, fftpilots.com

Zombie apocalypse - fftpilots.com

Asking a question that can be answered there means you are AUTOMATICALLY disqualified from employment at F9.....just sayin. We will all remember you.

I’m brand new to the industry and I’m just asking questions so I can have an understanding of how it works in the airlines so I finish my training I don’t work for an airline that I’m not going to like. Thank you for the information tho I really did not know that website existed

Don't sweat it man. Ask questions. That's how you learn

And sarcastic answers are how you learn to deal with the inevitable sarcasm of your fellow pilots. It’s all in fun…mostly.

spooldup 03-08-2023 06:50 AM

yep. and tbh, you could have put the FL base and 1500TT question together instead of making 2 threads. But that is also just forum knowledge.

Is that last statement towards me? IF so, I was not implying that, I just find it slightly amusing that we have non-F9 people frequenting the F9 forum and referring people to fftpilots for information.

But if so,

Agreed. I'm almost to the point where I'm wondering . . . if you don't take the time to do the least amount of research (especially in the hiring/training thread), how much are you gonna study when the time comes.

I agree

Not directed at you. On the contrary, I was agreeing w/ you (in a joking manner) to those asking the questions...

Sorry for the confusion.
