Forced upgrades?
Heard a rumor the company was collecting 121 flight time info from F/O's to possibly force upgrades in reverse seniority order. Any truth to that? I didn't think there was an issue with Captain slots going unfilled. At UA, we have a problem with that but they can't force upgrades.

No one should ever be forced to upgrade. Not on a 50 seat RJ. Definitely not on a 240 + 7 crew passenger Airbus. One of the most mature decisions one can make is you know what I’m not ready yet. Or I simply don’t want too as my QOL / money is good.
Realistically the only reason for them sending out those emails
is to see where we are going to be 2/3 years from now. It’s still a little weird to me though as they know exactly what everyone their TT is broken down with 121/135 times included

There was a question about FO time, but the memo that came out makes it seem like there were people showing up to upgrade class without having their times straight. So it was more of a "check your times please" kind of thing. Especially with 0 upgrades last month.

It's totally unacceptable from a safety standpoint.

I think it depends on the individual. We have some senior captains here that “ya know” what I mean. 1000 hours 121 would be close to 2 years on line here at F9. Our training department and LCAs won’t sign someone off if they are not ready. When I got hired in 15’ the recruiters were advertising 2 year upgrade.

Drum roll please!!!
ZERO upgrades on latest system bid. Can't make you upgrade if they aren't upgrading at all *taps head*
Personally, this is the most interesting one yet because there are 50 new hires. Previously when it was 0 or 4 upgrades it was only 20 new hires.
