The landscape is changing. If the JB/NK merger goes through, we'll be the ONLY ULCC while their new combined airline will certainly raise pay. Sounds great for us on the surface but let's not discount mgt's desires to stay cheap. if conditions and pay stay the same here (or still less than), we won't grow. We'll conflate. Actually, that is already the case as we've grown about 10-15 pilots since Jan 1st. There are too many other airlines w/ too many base locations that provide better opportunities.
At F9, over 40 and with 6 to 9 years (or more) of seniority is a tough place to be.

I am with you on this, and the last two CAs that left were right there in that range. I am curious how many will be following, that fit that range bracket or even over 40, over 6-9 year mark.

They now give out 2.5 million a month to new hires. What’s another 150M a year for the rest of the pilot group?

It makes sense what I heard (that they want a quick contract). But of course only time will tell.

I can assure you they do not want a quick contract. The bonus is a retention tool to try and lock people in to being here 3 years and getting to comfortable to leave.

I would like to think they want a contract quickly but something tells me they will milk this pilot discount as long as possible. Remember we are "overstaffed" and attrition is "right on target" haha
