Default New hires pushed back into the pool...

Anyone else heard anything about this? Lots of weird stuff happening. Here's what was sent out:

Class Date

Good morning,

We have received word regarding network changes early next year which will help improve our operational performance and get our customers where they need to go. Because of these changes, we will not be able to confirm you in our October new hire class and have placed you in our pool. We wanted to provide you as much notice as possible and appreciate your patience in our hiring process.
We will keep you updated on your confirmed class date in the coming weeks. If an opening becomes available we will reach out as soon as we can.

I posted it in the hiring and training thread. But, this is big enough need to have its own thread, right?

FB gossip group is saying the official F9 recruiting page on LinkedIn and FB has been taken down. I have not verified that.

I just searched the recruiting page on Facebook and could not find it. I used to follow it.

Yeah didn't see your post. This one of those WTF is going on moments though. Airplanes coming - allegedly - attrition sky high, Biffle et al. selling stock at fire sale prices, DS back drinking Guinness on the misty isle he came from... And now we are putting the brakes on hiring? Color me puzzled.

Neither. They don't make staffing adjustments based on that. We lost a lot of gates, or our bookings are so terrible that they are cutting deep.

I have an interview coming up this Tuesday in Denver, so should be interesting to hear what is happening on the new route structure and hiring. I have a good non-flying job now, so was really hoping to start after the first of the year anyway due to a large bonus from current job. Trying my best to look at this as a glass half full situation, so hopefully the timing will work out. I do feel bad for the folks that were excited about their start date and got pushed back.

Well keep applying everywhere. Start apply at every airline you think you might want to fly for even if you don't have the minimum requirements. Start prepping for interviews at those airlines after you get hired somewhere and on the line. If you get into the right seat of a Frontier Airbus you will have an excellent shot at get hired at many airlines, especially United. They love Frontier pilots - I start class there soon.. Your glass is more than half full and you seem to have a great attitude - that will take you wherever you want to go.

Maybe you should hold your horses on this rumor until there's even the slightest bit of proof that is happening.

My immediate impression of Biffle’s last video was he seemed awfully happy and chirpy, especially with our operations in the dumps. His annerisms don’t line line up.
