Third Year Running

2023 marks the third consecutive year Frontier Airlies ("ULCC") has been voted the "Worst Ailine in America" according to The WSJ, Condé Nast Traveller, JD Powers, along with many other lesser known trade publications. As a matter of corporate responsibility to it's shareholders, what is leadership doing to stop the ship from sinking? Any insight as to why Indigo Holdings would continue with the current executive team given three years + of poor performance? Imagine if Jack Welch were alive, how he would turn around Frontier. Word on the street is BB will be invited to leave the helm Q1 2024. Any substantive evidence supporting BB's departure? Investor confidence is at at all-time low, as is morale amongst the majority employee groups at Frontier

BB has raised the stock price 78%. I'd say he's a superstar. WSJ polls aren't a concern to the board.

People loath to admit this, but this is very true. BB made indigo a lot of $$$ from the Republic bankruptcy. The counter argument might be that we were low hanging fruit and any idiot could’ve done it. I think what ousts him is we need fresh prospective, he seems to have run his course.

I'm curious what the state of things will be after the 1st. For us cadets with class dates/cancelled class dates, there's supposed to be some announcements regarding those.
As for the airline, we really need a customer service line back. Imagine trying to get your dad/grandfather to talk to a chatbot...

It came back already though I’m not sure on how difficult it is to get to.

"If people of limited means want to travel by air, they have to choose Frontier. If their travel experience is a bad one, it's something they have to get accustomed to flying with a ULCC. Even if they leave Frontier, they will be back when they need a cheap ticket." -BL (November 2022 indoc class motivational talk)

Seems like a crappy way to think of it, but I suppose it makes sense. I have a relative who is an 8yr FA in MCO, and she says F9 fills the seats when nobody else does. If that's true, or just a small sample size I'm not sure.

Even if people of limited means must choose a ULCC, spending 50 bucks on a ticket will still feel like money thrown away if they have an awful experience. If burned enough times, they just won't travel or choose another way to travel. The other thing is that pilots generally are proud of their career. If we keep scoring "worst airline in America" eventually that stink will rub off on pilots. Civilians think that in order to be the worst airline it must be a group effort including pilots. I, for one, don't like that feeling after working so hard to get where I am.
