Feel the Bern

So apparently one of the members of the negotiation committee is married to someone that once contributed to the Bernie Sanders campaign and that is why the were recalled.

Just when I think 165 and 169 couldn't be any more moronic.

I have no idea if that's true or not but i think at this point we should just recall the 165/69 reps for a full, fresh start.

Those guys really can't be left in power. They will feel even more emboldened and will absolutely try to bully their way even more aggressively in the future.
CLean house.

Is this real? It’s incredible to think that someone could work at a union that believes in the labor movement and has working-class values.

Well, look at the "Burn it down" people... Remind you of the "Slugs for Salt" crowd?

Likely not. That particular individual has been highly involved with union work, including the NC, for a long time. It’s just more triggered hysteria. That said, some of his personal social media postings of the past could certainly call into question his moral character. I wouldn’t say the same thing about J.S., who was also ousted, despite having similar political views to said person.

That is a broadly generic accusation that seems to mean basically nothing. Accusations of unethical or morally questionable conduct, should identify the conduct specifically. Political disagreement is not evidence of immoral character.

Sure. My point is that despite his long held political leanings, it was not specifically the reason for his ousting. However…

it absolutely can be. If one side of the disagreement is rooted in political extremism, it often crosses moral boundaries. For example, we could disagree on race relations in America and we could consider it a political disagreement. However, if you believe any particular race or skin color is the root of all evil and deserves death, then your view is extremist and crosses into immorality.

The point here is that he has been vocal of what I and many others would consider extremism, calling into question his moral character and ability to think rationally. It is possible that he has garnered a general distrust and contempt from enough of the pilot group to support his recall, while really having nothing to do with, specifically, his wife working on Bernie Sanders’ campaign, or whatever.

The Bernie/Warren wing is probably too much of a good thing from the perspective of pilot unions... we earn enough to get lumped in with the Billionaires at tax time.

Spoken as a true “temporarily embarrassed billionaire”.
