Frontier JS: Golf clubs?
Do you guys have any restrictions for jumpseating with golf clubs?
|
Yup, it's called being a douche.
2 THINGS: 1) how would you like it if some off line guy was dragging a bag of clubs onto your flight deck? 2) Rent clubs cheapo. |
Frontier JS: Golf clubs?
You can just gate check them. Do they even allow clubs through security?
|
If you don't want to rent, why not ship them ahead of you?

Geez guys, he was prob wondering if he can check in his clubs jumpseating on Frontier. I have done it both on Southwest & Airways.

I'd say there are internet party fouls going both ways. You could have specified what you were asking in the op and being called a "douche" is quite harsh (and immature).

How did anyone even think he was asking if he could bring it on the flight deck? Obviously no one would try to get golf clubs through security. I've checked bags while jumpseating plenty of times for free. I'm sure golf clubs would be no different. I could see possibly getting charged $50 for oversized bags but you can definitely just check them.

How things have changed, especially since 911. In the mid '90's I was on reserve in NY. My airport car needed some repairs so I hauled my toolbox into the cockpit and said: "Capt, can I get a ride to work"? Of course he looked at my toolbox and I explained how my 76 Impala needed new rear wheel seals! He said: Come'on aboard! ;)
That Impala was a great airport car! |
I've gate checked a bicycle on Frontier before I'm sure golf clubs would be no different. We should be able to bring them back up for you also. If its my flight and you are the only jumpseater I don't mind if we keep them up front. Properly secured of course.

The answer is yes. I have checked in my golf clubs on Frontier more than once while off line jump seating. I would definitely get a hard sided travel carrier if you don't already have one. This is probably common sense which is why I didn't get one the first time I checked them. Oops... a new 3 wood later I learned why you want a hard sided travel case(that happened on United not F9).
