All everyone ever posts is how we're owned by an investment bank... how they're here to make money... if we go on strike, indigo loses at least a 7 figure sum every day we're on strike, possibly an 8 figure sum... they lost MILLIONS of dollars when spirit went on strike and that was 4 days... I don't believe indigo will fold until they're forced to... I also believe we'll get released eventually and get a TA at 23:59:59 on the 29th day of the cooling off period...
IF we went on strike, this place would be out of business if the strike lasted longer than a week or two... if you can't support yourself without a paycheck for 2 weeks, your financial situation should probably be your top priority...
Our demands are reasonable and the NMB seems to think we're doing everything the right way... this is my opinion and I just don't see a scenario where it ever comes down to a strike

I would rather have the Co. scrutinize our candidates then hire anybody with a heartbeat! This is the last thing we have here that can make this place bearable with quality pilots. The pool is running thin and I am noticing the talent level has been depleting.

If you can't work with a guy for a rotation, no need to hire them. I think they do an excellent job on their screening. Frontier has an excellent pilot group, and they are the reason why. Let them do their job.

That's the most fantastic myth about this dump - we have the best crews and that's why we do so well against the odds. Let's be real. We hire guys and gals desperate to get out of the regionals. They need a type and they dupe the "hiring board". Frontier sucks and you know it.

Not even the Big 3 can fix what you got. I hope you get there, but a attitude change would be a tremendous help in accomplishing that.
I was just simply stating they are doing the best they can to screen people.

THAT is a foolish statement.
Is F9 too large to strike ? No
Has Indigo forced self-help in the past ? Yes
The only debt you should have ideally is your Mortgage on the house. The rest should be payed off and at LEAST a month's expenses put away in savings in cash.

I think he was implying that Frontier probably won't burn themselves twice with a strike, not that we would be unable to force one via the RLA process.
I also believe it is unlikely, even though it would only be Indigo history repeating itself. I think it is highly likely negotiations will go to the final day(s) of a cooling off period.

We operate 280 daily flights... lets say we sell an average of 180 seats per flight (a mix of 319, 320 and 321)... I read the average frontier fare is $115 but that seems to be on the low end... multiply that all together and they'd be losing $5.5M a day on fares alone... they still have to pay for gates, landing fees, keeping the lights on... and they have more expenses I can't even begin to imagine... a bank doesn't throw away north of $7M a day because they hate their labor that much...
I think we will get released... and I think we'll get a TA at the last minute before a strike happens... I'm not really sure what substantial progress is in the NMB's eyes but 3 days spent on 100% dh pay and not having to call the company after being bought off for OE doesn't seem like "substantial progress" to me
