Default Why fly here?

I am currently in training looking at regionals like all of us to jump in the 121 career. There are plenty of negatives here, well duh its a forum. I am preferring a St. Louis base. Say what you want about choosing somewhere because of base, but it is what it is. Trans States is my other option so shoot.

It looks like your "training" is in marketing, using forums to try and steer people in a certain direction? You ask "Gojet why fly here?" after you make your little statements to try and make the case that Gojet and Trans States only have negative information because everyone has negative information on a forum and that location is what is important.

But that is not true. A Hulas airline does not operate like other airlines, it has a different set of values, which can be summed up as a lack of values. There is plenty of information on this site about TSA and Gojet for all to see. There is no reason to go there unless you have and will never have any other options.

If you want a STL base I'd certainly pick one of the two. Living in base vs commuting with make up for any deficiencies the company or contract may have. I'd say the choice between the two is a toss up. TSA may have a little bit better reputation however Gojet having all 76+ seat flying is better If/when oil spikes again. 50 seat flying would once again get cut.

Perhaps just market research. So long as people are talking about GoJet they have an idea about what pilots like and dislike so they can highlight to pros (as you claim they are doing here) and address cons,
(whether by clarifying misconceived cons, or working through rightfully places cons).

And no, there is not plenty of negative information about GoJet out there. Before signing on to GoJet I spent weeks tearing this place up looking for something and found three negative things, which were refuted by several others' accounts. Other than that, it is people just saying it is a horrible airline. Almost as bad as listening to President Trump for information and insight "It's a very bad airline, with very bad people..." Only, I think they found a thesaurus.

I can say this. Culture is important to me. I am coming from working a desk job at a company where it felt everyone had each others back - from the newest hire to the CEO. Everyone was very proud to say they worked for the company (which was often smeared in news stories) and put everything they had in to its success as a customer-centric company. I have the same aspiration in my flying career; I want to feel like everyone's first priority is the customer. I am still very new here to make a real judgement, but the base culture seems to be one of efficiency and "move up and move out;" customer care seems to be a subculture. I hope to report better soon, but only time will tell. I have commuted on other airlines and have seen more of what I am looking for in company culture, but that may also be a subculture thing and I am not willing to make any big changes to take such a chance. These forums are riddled with talk about upgrade time so I am prone to think it is industry wide.

Hey, I'm a Pt 135 guy looking for a regional where I can be based in DEN. Can a new hire get DEN for a domicile?
