GoJet Recruiter Thread
Hello,
My name is Jason and I am a Pilot Recruiter for GoJet airlines. I will be utilizing this thread to answer questions you have. Feel free to PM as well. I welcome questions about flying the line, commuter questions, contract and bidding or anything else that you are interested in. About me: I was hired as a Direct Entry Captain and fly the line every month. I am based in Chicago, I was previously based in STL. I commute, here and I commuted at my last airline. I came here to build my PIC Part 121 flight experience and I plan to move on to the majors as quickly as possible. I assume this is the driving force behind why you want to come to GoJet or any other regional as well. |
Is it true that Delta and United own your planes? Are your Delta and United CPAs up for renewal this year? Thanks

Is Gojet going to be around in 6 months? Why do you think so?
Why are there grievances from 2014 that have still not gone to arbitration? (Gojet's first argument is always that the union did not file the grievance properly. That gets arbitrated first. When Gojet loses that they then refuse to go to arbitration on the grievance itself.) When is Gojet going to arbitrate as required by their contract? Why should someone go to Gojet when they could go to an airline that has stability such as Skywest or Envoy? Why should someone go to Gojet when Endeavor pays much more? If a pilot lives in RDU, perhaps not commuting is a reason to go to Gojet. Is there any reason that a pilot who lives in or will commute to Chicago, Denver, or Detroit should go to Gojet and not to Envoy, Republic, or Skywest? Why did the FAA violate over 60 pilots for one broken switch? (I believe the number was higher than that but I don't have the exact number.) How have things improved since they got the new DO? How do we know that things at Gojet have changed? |
Hi Jason. Thanks.
What does ORD have to offer in terms of breakfast options for GoJet pilots? |
I am a DEC candidate, can you tell me the percentage of time id be flying left vs right seat? Am i still paid the same regardless?
Is ORD or DEN obtainable out of training? What is your commuter policy? paid parking? commuter hotels? Is there a chance you will lose the delta owned 700's? If so how will this effect hiring? |

The remaining 22 aircraft would be operated under lease agreements which are common across the industry. Contracts are always being signed, modified, proposed etc. I am not aware of any line pilot at any regional that would have access to that information beyond the initial award press release. My job as a pilot is to operate my aircraft safely, be friendly and supportive to my customers and coworkers, and diligently work to reach performance goals set my my airline amongst other things. As long as a regional airline continues to meet and/or exceed their contractual obligations and performance requirements they should maintain their flying, I can't see how it would be any different for GoJet. |
