G7 delta contract extended

For the past couple months there have been a ton of rumors ( from people outside of the company) that we our losing our delta flying. Just so it’s understood by all the rumor rats in apc all delta birds were extended 7 years this past November.

Southern 05-23-2018 02:44 PM

You are correct.

TalkTurkey 05-23-2018 04:01 PM

If this is true then why hasn’t it been posted since last November? Why would it take half a year and a flow to spirit air to make that happen?

The trolls on the 9E page are already freaking out.

So what about your UAL flying?

Also, just because you have a CPA doesn't mean that that saves you. Remember you're dealing with Mother D. Also, isn't it strange that your company hasn't done a press release stating that nor your website.

Flightlevelfly 05-23-2018 06:22 PM

Maybe I am wrong, but wouldn’t a press release come out about flying being lost? I mean that is all the press releases that I have seen. If flying being kept is a press release story, then there would be something every time a contract is up for negotiation. If something drastic changes, then yes, there is usually a press release. The status quo continues with the Delta flying. Who cares.

I have known about it for months and can confirm it as well from multiple sources.

Southern 05-23-2018 06:32 PM

Press release by end of month. You will be happy

I don’t even know where the rumor about us losing United flying is coming from but it seems like it has just came from a bunch of apc trolls. As for the press release thing.... I don’t know if it is standard practice for a press release to come out for an extension on an existing contract. But somebody asked about delta flying on a private g7 forum and a senior union rep gave that response.

Exactly this!

If Delta/GoJet does do a press release regarding the extension the only purpose behind it will be to create the illusion of stabilization.
Delta wants to protect its summer flying and it can’t do that if pilots keep leaving GoJet because of the low wages and imminent threat that Delta may take back their 700s.

This exstension is nothing more than a method of creating false hope. Like when I tell a girl in the club I want to spend the whole next day with her. Chances are I’m gonna change my mind after I get what I want.

Was Expressjets cpa expired when Delta took those airplanes? I don’t believe so.
This cpa will have a lot of caveats that Delta can exploit to terminate the contract early if they so choose. I’m willing to bet that one of the major caveats is based on GoJets on time performance and ability to properly staff the flying. Which will continue to suffer as long as we have low wages and a management team that continues to look for new ways to undermine the CBA.

GoJet pilots and the airline in general is no safer now than it was a week ago.

Loose lips with nothing to back it up at Delta and the executive team at Endeavor might be promoting false growth for the same reason. A press release wouldn’t look good for the Endeavor team. It would just prove them as untrustworthy and unreliable. I should know by now not to take them at face value. What’s that joke about how you can tell if a politician is lying?
