I had talked with a recruiter earlier this morning and she had told me a pilot has spent about 18 months as an FO, made Captain, then after a year was gone to Delta. Sounded that he had left over the past several months. At the time, I didn't put it together and now am curious if this was due to the Delta Guaranteed Application Review.

Thoughts?
There would be no way of knowing. DL doesn’t share there hiring metrics or practices - the guaranteed app review is a total snipe hunt. Either your getting reviewed because your qualified or your not.

Endeavor has guaranteed interviews. And the getting hired success rate- once they get to that point - appears less than the Delta OTS interviews.

Delta isn’t giving anyone a flow, and even in the AA wholly owneds it could go away in a heartbeat.

These are all mainly recruiting gimmicks.

You heard that from a recruiter, so be careful. Did that recruiter specify that pilot actually worked at GoJet?

The guaranteed application review basically means an application that wouldn't normally qualify for an interview gets screened to see whether it would qualify for an interview.

“...Candidates with competitive applications to current Delta hiring standards will be eligible to be selected for an interview."

You know what would be nice, if they told us what’s competitive. Competitive to be eligible to be selected, that line is funnier every time I read it. But it’s a carrot and the worst carrot of the regionals.

So, will GJ start to teach them how to deice an airplane of frost on the wings before flying?

“...Candidates with competitive applications to current Delta hiring standards will be eligible to be selected for an interview."

For that matter:

“...Candidates WITHOUT competitive applications to current Delta hiring standards ARE eligible to be selected for an interview."

and

“...Candidates without a snowball’s chance in h€|| of meeting current Delta hiring standards are ELIGIBLE to be selected for an interview."

Not that any would necessarily PASS the interview and get a CJO.

Even for Endeavor, with a Delta Guaranteed Interview, it appears the selection rate once interviewed is LESS than the rate for OTS hires.

This really is a nothingburger.

Both the company and the union refuse to share any stats on how many pilots leave for different airlines. I've never actually met a Gojet pilot who got a job a Delta through this program.

From what I've seen for civilian: 5-6k TT if you graduated from an AABI school with a high GPA or a good GPA technical degree from a good non-AABI school. Volunteer work in your union and your community. Teaching and learning at a 141. Trust me, if you got it 61, they will ask questions about it.

Bonus points for PIC, company instructor, company management, etc.

For whatever reason, if you are above 9000TT and still at the same regional, you won't even get a look.
