I know the upper management are all trying to leave or are being made to leave. It seems like the people in the know are leaving.

I have $5 that says that Gojet's death will be announced by January 31st.

Only the guys there under a year will be harmed much when it closes. If a pilot was there over a year he is going to get longevity of 1 year for each year he was at Gojet, at the next airline.

How do you figure that?

I’d guess people under a year won’t be any worse off? Free ATP, Free Type rating, maybe a sign on bonus? And another bonus at the next job...

People with less than a year or so will probably owe time to GoJet or face a penalty.
If GoJet flying is cut the contract won’t wind down over night. Those forced to stay will be moved around at the whim of GoJet management until the end.

I see, that does make sense. The slow death.

What airline gives you longevity? Because when Expressjet lost Delta flying and a ton of pilots came to EDV they went to year one no longevity given.

ExpressJet and SkyWest do, I believe.

Isn’t this an ALPA thing? And, SkyWest only gives longevity for pay, doesn’t it? Not for scheduling, vacation or upgrades. I don’t know about Xjet.

I don’t think it’s an alpa thing but I defiantly could be wrong. I think it’s somethng some airlines that have struggled to attract pilots have used when to get people in the door but as far as I know when the Expressjet migration happened to Endeavor they came on at 1st year.
