The announcement of the -700 cuts may take a little longer, but we will probably be able to read between the lines.
If they are awarded to SkyWest, Republic, Compass, or Mesa, there really isn’t a spool up time. If it is Xjet, there will be a spool up time —- but if SkyWest helps, it isn’t that big of deal.

You start with an opening cadre of pilots, say 16-20, that go through training. ExpressJet gets green on green regulations waived. The planes will take a while for conformity checks and will likely be listed in the fleet in June. So, a January/February public announcement is soon enough. Enough time for pilots to bid and start training in March.

I am assuming the Ejets will come on at a 2 per month rate starting in June. I am guessing that is the same rate and timing the CRJ700’s will depart.

UAL will need to make the announcement earlier if they hope to have pilots at XJT to fly the airplanes. I don't think it was a coincidence that management asked for accelerated Section 6 negotiations a week after Kalitta came in and started hiring away pilots. I'm willing to put a beer on the announcement happening soon after the TA passes.

Maybe, an announcement is the same way the secret paragraph in the Xjet TA was announced. United might not make a public announcement that would scare CRJ700 pilots away.

Hey scubadiver

I dunno what is going on with your two bonus question posts they look weird and can’t comment to them.

I am in training right now in STL. I have the same info as the other poster who was able to comment to your thread. First $10k when you finish IOE, second $10k when you complete 6 months and $6k on your one year anniversary paid mid month the month following. No one has said anything about a contract to receive the bonus.

Thanks.. Yeah, I don't know why those posts are both acting up.. Maybe it had something to do with the question mark in the subject or something.I sent messages to a few admins to try and see if they can delete them or something. Someone was able to reply and I have no idea how, I can't reply or do anything.

There’s not a contract. You could collect a bonus and quit the next day without penalty. Unless you are RTP or etc and use some of your bonus money upfront.
