I commute from San Antonio to Detroit, but we have people commuting from all sides of the US. Most people in Florida commute to either RDU or DTW. Seems as there is a lot of flight between MCO and DTW. Recently or United side has picked up a few more overnights in FL, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see some of the FL commuters start bidding ORD as well.

Would you mind explaining how commuting works? When do the 4 hotel rooms a month come into play

What do people inside of GoJet say about the United flying there, given the Unlted announcement of the Ejets replacing CRJ700’s? Are pilots concerned?

You call scheduling and ask for a commuter room. Usually they’ll let you know right away where you’ll be staying, or you’ll get an email within about 10 minutes with a confirmation.

Nothing, hasn’t been much if any talk of any lost flying. United apparently has been very happy with our performance, or at least what management is telling us. really, our United side has picked up more flying. New stop in California and Vegas, as well as new eastern and Florida destinations as well.

You do realize destinations are based on where the major wants a regional to go, and the regional goes.

I guess my question is which 25 CRJ700’s are coming offline in the United fleet? SkyWest just renewed their CPA on theirs for 5 years. There are only 45 700’s left in the United fleet.

In the next week or so we will find out where the 25 E-175's are going that UAL ordered. Since UAL is scoped out, 25 -700's will have to come offline. As pointed out, SkyWest renewed their contract for 5 years. So that leaves Mesa with 20 -700's and GoJet with 25 -700's.

We shall see.

You assume United will make their announcement that quickly. However, they are taking deliveries in April, with probably a June being on the line. That is pretty quick if the regional doesn’t already have a 175 program in place.

We shall see.

They will make the announcement of the -175 award probably within the next week or so. They have to do it soon if the airline receiving them is to have time to spool up.
The announcement of the -700 cuts may take a little longer, but we will probably be able to read between the lines.
