How senior is Denver?
 

Can anyone provide some insight as to how long it takes to hold DEN for a new FO? It looks like just a few months from the company website but I have heard some folks say that DEN is pretty senior. Thanks

You may want to wait to commit to DEN with GoJet until after the United announcement on the 25 CRJ700’s being retired in 2019.

To answer your question, Denver is fairly senior. FOs that I have spoken to get little flight time there 30~ hours/month.
The bigger question is, why on earth are you thinking GoJet?
What Calmwinds (by the way, he’s an FO at Mesa who posts on a lot of different airline threads on this site) is tangentially alluding to is that bases are, or can be, a fleeting thing in the regional world. Very few are guaranteed and those that are so, are very senior (MSP for Endeavor, for example). Denver is pretty much very senior, no matter what 121 operation you are talking about.
Yes, if you join GoJet and you make it through training and the don’t have their flying changed by United, you might get Denver in 6 months or so. Getting out of training would be a very rare instance and, due to a lack of hours, may hurt you in your wuest to get 1000 hrs and be eligible to upgrade.

I’ve been hired by GoJet and have a seniority number. (early seniority for military). I’m not going to training until January. I was hoping the 3 months of early seniority would help me get Denver after IOE but by the way your guys are talking I will be lucky to ever be based in Denver with GoJet

I was offered the full 180 but opted for an earlier class date because of my schedule with the military

Just looked it up. Junior FO base holder is a late June hire. So 3-4 months of early seniority and you should have it right out of training(on reserve). Junior line holder as of nov 18 is a jan 18 hire. FYI info on these forums is generally overly negative and usually from people who don’t even work at whatever company’s thread you’re reading. Take it with a grain of salt and don’t make big decisions off of what you read on APC unless you know that person is credible

I did not want to make a new thread just for this question but if someone could answer I would appreciate it...
There are two gojet flights from Redmond, OR to Denver and vice versa each day. Are these flights usually full? Jumpseat taken?

I am trying to do some future planning and on a potential commute. I have PDX/SEA as backups but those would require two legs and I'm not doing that with regularity.
