Gojet Cuts their Bonus-Does this Tell it All?

Gojet increased their bonus in January of 2018 for new hires to $56,000.

I just noticed that now it is down to $12,000 paid in 3 installments.

Basically, if they close in 4 months, you may get the one check of $4000.

The VP of Ops just left. They eliminate the signing bonus for all practicality. I don't think they are even hiding the fact that they are going to close their doors.

Am I miss reading this? Do they just have so many people wanting to go there that they don't need the bonus? Is the pilot shortage over?

Source? Company website and APC profile still show the $56,000.

I’m seeing the same. Fake news

Must be talking about this:

PILOT CAREERS

BONUS OPPORTUNITIES

$12,000 FIRST OFFICER SIGNING BONUS

All new hire pilots are eligible for a $12,000 signing bonus, paid in three installments of $4,000. Pilots with a current CL-65 or EMB-170 type rating can receive an additional $3,000 training bonus, for a total new hire bonus of $15,000.

Details

If you take a closer look at the web page, PILOT CAREERS

...you may also notice a particular table (further down) which highlights dates for CPT and FO upgrades. The most recent date listed for FO upgrades is 1/30/2017. You should find that curious.

Now, if you take a closer look at the updated equivalent link, PILOT CAREERS

The table in this page lists dates which are indicative of an updated link: 9/4/2018, for FOs out of DTW for example. This is also the linked page direct from the main page.

Consensus: The former link is an unmaintained and disconnected leftover which has merely been unswept from the server, and therefore still accessible, albeit outdated. The latter link is more plausibly the current GoJet policy.

I did a Google search for ¨Gojet Pilot Recruitment¨ and this is the page that came up:

PILOT CAREERS

It talks about the $12,000 bonus.

Leave it to Gojet to screw up their own recruitment. Gojet has some great people and they all have one thing in common, none of them are in management.

The funny thing is for them to name it ¨Pilot Careers¨ because it is the worst place to go if you want a career at an airline. I´m guessing that Gojet may be down to a few weeks or months. Once Expressjet starts flying the 175s, doesn´t GJ have to stop flying to avoid breaking skope?

GoJet has to stop flying at least 5 of the CRJ700’s. 20 of the CRJ700’s could possibly come from Mesa. However, most believe all 25 of the CRJ700’s at GoJet will be looking for a new major or the boneyard starting in June 2019.
