Default ATP class/test

I should have the necessary hours by May. In preparation for the ATP knowledge test, besides the class, does GoJet provide test prep or should I buy Sheppard Air? For the class, which aircraft are you flying in the SIM? CRJ700/900 or another aircraft just to get you through the requirement?

When you are registered by GoJet for the ATP course you will also receive information about accessing the Sheppard Air software, it’s included in the cost they pay to ATP. I got mine 2 weeks before the course started. If you push yourself you should have no problem completing the Sheppard Air in that time. I didn’t start written prep until I got to ATP and passed with a 94% a week later.

As for the sims, I did the FTD in a CRJ but then the actual sims in the A320 while some other people from my class were in the B737. It’s at ATP’s discretion which sim you go to based on schedule availability. I had a fried last week who was in the MD80.

Don’t buy Sheppard yourself. GoJet will provide it for you. And the sims are anything from a320 to MD80. They just put you in whatever to meet the requirement.

If you wait to get Sheppard, you may well find yourself behind the eight ball in not have enough time to study. Best to get it early and be prepared.
Just my two cents.
