Look at it as a "rolling checkride". Once you show proficiency during training, certain requirements can be considered done, thus not on the 121 ride.

Near Direct Entry Captain is for those that have at least 700 hrs SIC Part 121. You get the nice signing bonus, and fly as an FO until you get the remaining 300 hrs, then upgrade to CA.

If you have 1000 hrs SIC Part 121, you get the same bonus and you can be hired as Direct entry Captain, or a Street Captain as some call it (hired off the street).

Click on GoJets website on their profile page and they have info about both. $45k first year signing bonus. $20k at start of class, $10k after IOE, and $15k at one year anniversary.

As far as I know, right now GoJets, Envoy and CommutAir are offering it, and all have a nice bonus.

DEC are on reserve for a very long time. I was in STL for 4-6 months before I was able to bid out to DTW.

It’s a good program to get into the left seat and a huge bonus, however make sure you understand every aspect of being the lowest seniority captain for some time. PM if you’d like.

I sent you a PM.
As Flyboy68 mentioned there is a program for Near Entry Captains. It depends on your flight time and experience on which programs work better for you, both are great programs. I can DM you with more info.

So basically, much more forgiving than a "pass or fail" checkride.

That sounds great. Thanks.

By 'every aspect,' do you mean all the reserve?
I was planning to move to base.

I'm also interested in the "near-DEC" option at GJ.

Sent you a PM.

Default Questions for Current G7 pilots / recruiters

Background info first:

I'm currently a CRJ Captain for another carrier. I was almost a Direct-entry Captain for my current company, based on previous 121 time elsewhere. I was a 900 FO for 1 month and then went back to upgrade on the 200. I've been a 200 CA for 1 year and have only flown 400 hours. Lots of time in my crashpad. I've only flown 10 hrs this month.

So, I'm intrigued by Go-Jet's DEC program. The bonus looks good, but more than that, I need to fly. Most majors have a 1000-hr TPIC minimum requirement, and that will take two more years at the rate that I'm flying. So...

Questions:

#1: How soon would I get to fly at least 50 hrs per month?

#2: How soon would I get a line?

#3: When will the Delta flying be ending?

#4: How many G7 aircraft are owned by Delta?

#5: How many aircraft are currently dedicated to United flying?

#6: Which bases will be affected by the loss of Delta flying?

Thank you!
