There is a long standing rumor that in the near future the 25? or so 700s operated for Delta will be pulled. There is nothing official and the best evidence is that Ed Bastian the DL CEO said at a investors day talk in December that the plan was to move DL to 3 connection carriers without specifying when.
Other supporting evidence is several of the 700s at G7 have been having parts returned to original aircraft indicating plans to return the plane the owner. Again nothing firm.

Without specifying when? He literally said within the next two years.

Again, this signals the aircraft are about to be returned to the lessor. It’s worth mentioning the CA tails are old Comair planes and are some of the oldest 700s in service. They could simply be swapped for newer ones. They could be replaced with 900 lites - only DL knows and they change their mind allot.

Gojet's plan is to have 25 550s in service starting the second half of 2019 and finished by the end of 2019. They then say they expect to have another 25 in service by the end of the first half of 2020.
If you actually look at the Bombardier orders, there are actually no orders to build any CRJ-550s. The order is to reconfigure 50 CRJ-700s that Gojet will fly. Bombardier then wants to use the reconfigured 700s, now tabled the 550s to help it market the 50 seaters to other carriers.
Everything does point to Gojet as flying all 50 of the 550s. If so, that would mean that Gojet will be converting the planes it flies for Delta as well but moving them to United. Something does not sound right about that.
Could it be that Gojet is getting the 25 planes to convert to 550s from somewhere besides its Delta planes?
Gojet cannot man another 25 planes unless it throws a lot of money out there in a short amount of time. I don't think they can do it. So my best guess is, their Delta planes are going bye bye. 25 planes coming from somewhere else.
