Because AA owns them and their planes - G7 is effectively a paper airline like all the other TSH airlines. Easier to cut bait for the maineline partner if they need too, when you own it - takes more effort and money to dump a regional partner.

Then why don't they pay better?

If they cared so much, they would.

Why pay more when you can still staff with what you have?

Envoy doesn't pay more, because they have FLOW....
Some like it. Some don't. Whatever. Each to their own.

Pretty sure G7's planes all belong to Delta and United.
I don't know if it's easier to dump a contracted carrier than an WO carrier...those contracts are typically like 10+ years.

If the argument hasn’t been made yet, it will be. They will point to industry standards that 50 seaters are paid less.
just remember OO and 9E pay their 50 seaters more than G7 currently get to fly a 700/900 and gojet's current rate is about on par with AWAC. no need to give anything

I would trust the CEO of the mainline partner over anything a regional management team said.

Haha, they’re all equal when it comes to talking BS. The only difference is the size of their paycheck. In fact, regional managers mostly repeat what they hear from above
