Because AA owns them and their planes - G7 is effectively a paper airline like all the other TSH airlines. Easier to cut bait for the maineline partner if they need too, when you own it - takes more effort and money to dump a regional partner.

Pretty sure G7's planes all belong to Delta and United.
I don't know if it's easier to dump a contracted carrier than an WO carrier...those contracts are typically like 10+ years.

just remember OO and 9E pay their 50 seaters more than G7 currently get to fly a 700/900 and gojet's current rate is about on par with AWAC. no need to give anything
