It's not a good choice for you or anyone else. The problem is that you don't really understand how bad it is, or you have no context to compare it to.

Medical Insurance at GJ, does it really exist? FA passes out and is taken to hospital where she is diagnosed with heart arrhythmia. Calls company that she will not make her trip the next day. They call back and fire her.

FA diagnosed with breast cancer, average treatment, $200,000. Immediately given a check ride, is failed, and terminated. Coincidence?

Pilot goes out on FMLA, terminated. GJ changed their reasons why so many times judge even lost track. Jury rules against GJ and court doubles damages.

Pilot has to attend mandatory military weekend. GJ fires.

This is a good time to ask a question. Do pilots really have medical insurance for the future, it doesn't seem so. If you get sick you can't fly and after 82 days you are fired. You can keep your insurance if you pay the entire amount of the cost.

But what if your kid comes down with cancer and suddenly GJ fires you. Gosh, you thought you had done pretty good on that checkride.

Ok, GJ gives you a bonus spread over 3 years. Call it +15k per year GJ advantage. GJ 37/hr 1000 credit 37000 per year. Skywest, 45/hr. 1200 hours of credit for the same work and number of days working, 54000/yr. Bonus Skywest 3000. Total 57000 minus 37000 GJ pay makes +20k Skywest. Subtract Gj's 15000 bonus and Skywest is ahead by 5000 at the end of year one.

GJ bases ORD, STL, RDU, DTW, DEN, at end of year ORD, EWR, and maybe STL. Yes, I expect DL flying to be flying away. Skywest bases, everywhere.

Upgrade, Skywest, as soon as you get the time. Gojet, after losing Delta flying, 3, 4, 5 years? who knows.

What if 550 flops?

Any word on when you are going to actually get a 550 delivered as the 700s start going away once Expressjet puts their 170s in service this month.

Expect a lot of things to happen at Gojet quickly. CRJ-700s will be removed to be converted to 550s. Delta flying will be transferred to other carriers at a rate of 1 to 2 per month. Gojet will probably go down by 4 planes per month starting soon, then in about 5 months only 2 per months as the 550s start to come in. By next May the Delta planes will be gone and GJ will have their 550s. But they will have lost half their planes by then.

If the 550s are successful then GJ will probably start adding planes at that time, possibly 3 or 4 months earlier if 550 are popular.

Skywest is going to lease 29 planes to someone, is it Gojet?

Gojet Flight Attendants will go down by half from losing the Delta planes and then will go down by half by switching from the 700s to the 550s having only one FA.

10 First Class seats is a lot for one FA so maybe United will use 2 and really make it premium service?

Gojet will not say a thing to the Flight Attendants until they say, Goodby flight attendants, you are fired starting today. Your travel privileges are canceled so go buy yourself a bus ticket home!
