From the company conference call today...
DTW and RDU are officially closing. RDU by the end of the year and DTW by April.
GSO will open in November. EWR doesn't have an official open date. They estimate January to February.
They don't have any DEN flying after December. They also don't want the DEN pilots to quit so don't tell anyone the base is closing, okay. It's our little secret.😉
ORD will double in size next year.
STL is STL and you need the secret code word to fly out of there.

Is EWR a sure thing or is everything predicated on the status of the 550's?

Biggest problem for the CRJ 550 is United finding a place for them the first month after the FAA has issued the type certificate. United plans the fleet, landing slots, gates and ticket sales months in advance. If they don't have a lot of advanced notice of when the airplane will be ready it's going to be an exercise in trying to shoe horn the planes in to 2 hubs that don't have extra space.
