DECs from other Regionals - I talked with a couple and there are a couple of reasons - longer training footprint by going to a new regional. Several weeks rather than just a few days. Add in the large bonus they will get rather than just a pay raise with their present airline.
If you take into consideration the difference in pay it does not take long to come out ahead by going to an airline that will be around in 2 or 3 years. Most of the standup at Skywest are 6 to 7 hours of credit a day. Are they up to a 4 hour guarantee at GJ now?

"Large Bonus"? That bonus is spread over a long period of time. At Skywest, Endeavor, and Republic they call that "large bonus,", biweekly pay checks.

With the bonus, a DEC is probably ahead of a skywest pilot after one year but by year 3 a skywest guy will be ahead. Skywest has a lot of incentives and bonuses. After that GJ is not in the same area.

"No strings attached"? So they can finish IOE, get the next 15k and then leave and just wave goodby?
