There is no difference between good news and bad news at Gojet. Did the slaves think it was good news when the plantation owner announced he had just contracted for a dozen more fields of cotton to pick? I feel sorry for every employee who has worked at Gojet, TSA, and Compass.
Yes, there is a chance that Gojet may keep flying their 550s, but GJ will go back to its tried and true ways to treat people now that for a year or two there will be a lot of unemployed pilots.
There is a guy down in Ft Lauderdale who is angry that he will be paying pilots based upon a contract from 2016 when now he could pay pilots half as much. He will demand his revenge.

The info from today's Employee call, 31 fully converted 550s, 7 700s in some stage of conversion, but stopped by United until demand picks up, whenever that might be. Agreement for 74 550s still in place at the moment, it has not been cancelled at this time.

I hope it is. On the other side of things, a person who is doing some collateralized business with GJ offered to release the collateral for a discount on what is owed. They could then use the collateral to obtain better financing and more cash. GJ's upper level management response was like they were expecting too close. Nothing said but was implied. Maybe they are trying to negotiate better deal, I don't know, maybe it was not a large enough amount of money for they to think about.
It's nothing really but it just adds to my gut feeling that every pilot at GJ should at least have an app in at Skywest. The are actually upgrading people on the ERJ-175 starting in August and not talking furlough. Supposedly their contracts are very strong and even if not used the majors have to pay them, so they will get used. I though I would post my thoughts since this forum is so dead right not.
