TSA shut down because of lack of pilots and Mr. Jock was in the Gojet "pool" for a year? For anyone who was in the Gojet pool and who will now never get to Gojet I can tell you that the best thing that ever happened for your flying career is this pandemic. Friends don't let friends go to gojet.

that whole lack of pilots was b.s. I spoke with a TSA recruiter Friend in January, she told me their classes were full until late April/early May.

They had plenty of FOs, it was the lack of CAs that contributed to their demise.

They could find people with minimum qualifications or who had been unable to make it through other airline training. The more qualified new hires would leave for better airlines often.

Captains were leaving faster than they could make them.

But you are correct that the main reason was not pilots but United was looking for ways to limit exposure from dealing with TSH with their record for firing employees for taking military leave or FMLA leave or needing ADA accommodations. Delta and American already made the decision to stop doing business with them because it might all hit the national news.

Wow, imagine if they wouldn’t have shut down 4/1, without attrition they’d have more than enough captains! Funny how that works. Gee!

With that attitude, I am surprised anyone would put you in a pool.

And no UAX flying by 7/1, if I had to guess. TSH blew it's wad on the CRJ-550...no money to pretty up the clapped out 145s like XJT promised to do before they got the axe anyway. If G7 survives the 550 will be why, but my bet is it will be touch and go for the next couple years.

Anyway - and in all seriousness - I hope G7 makes it for all the TSH STL lifers, but TSA going tits up really has seemed to work out for me so far. A lot better than 2008 anyway. There are a lot of Waterski refugees at 5Y/9S.

Somehow Gojet will pull it off and survive. Hopefully United will keep the CRJ550 plans with Gojet and keep the modifications going. Plenty of pilots ready to go once the flying comes back. Don’t count them out!!!

She could not make it. She was booked at the RNC long ago. ByeDon...
