Cant believe flight attendants and 135 pilots think they got "furloughed" People in jobs that aren't even in aviation think they are "furloughed" FURLOUGH APPLIES TO A 121 AIRLINE PILOT. A furlough means you have to be called back in seniority order. You were not furloughed you were laid off. Sounds like these people that don't know what a scab is.
flight attendants might get furloughed but most people throw this word around thinking it applies to them.

"Webster disagrees...”a temporary leave from work that is not paid and is often for a set period of time”
webster is wrong. furlough implies you have a seniority number and have to be called back in seniority order. that is called being laid off. you probably think driving is a privilege and you actually need a license to drive. do some research dude.

Have you considered (even for a second) that you might be wrong. Furloughs happen in many industries, union and non union when employers have to cut payroll for seasonal or demand reasons.

I think that is exactly what I did. I didn’t think your definition of furlough was correct. So I did what any normal person would do when they want to know what the correct definition of a word is - looked it up in a dictionary. There is no further authority on definitions of words.
