Default Reality

The truth is, G7 is in fact holding their head slight above water. In the last 90 days they have lost over 150 pilots. They are placing bets on attracting new hires with Aviate… which is all seniority driven. That and three flows which are really not flows at all. They only serve two purposes. 1. To falsely attract pilots. 2. To restrict pilots who are on property from applying outside the flow. They are merely a way to somewhat control attrition.

If G7 cannot staff their own airline, United will simply pull the contract… that simple. The flying would then go to SkyWest… they own the aircraft now.

The demise of the airline is coming. Upper management has no interest in improving the current CBA… and now that the 550 is solely on property… they want 50 seat pay rates… so you all can sit and think about that for a while…

Being negative only makes your journey negative.
Just because you’re given a cactus doesn’t mean you have to sit on it. But hey. If that’s you’re style. By all means continue with that attitude. It will get you no where in life.

Handed a cactus and deliberately picking one, two different things. But yes, make the best of your choices

Nothing he said is negative, it’s just the hard truth. Would anyone expect anything less from holdings? Y’all shouldn’t be tricking new guys to come to Gojet

I do not have the tenacity to state anything other than the truth. If you and others here want to live in fantasy land, by all means do so and continue to drink the coo laid. Just today G7 cancelled all vacations for July, so once again the company has no interest in their employees...The bottom line is, those who are considering coming to this place of employment should consider all the FACTS as they currently stand and not the smoke and mirror BS that is fed to them by the company.

I remember I did not bid my 2009 vacation properly in 2008, so I had 7 days of vacation that I needed to pick up or lose. Bidding on vacation could be done for the next month if there were open spots. You had to pickup the vacation before the bidding for your schedule for the next month. Gojet was short of pilots at the time so when vacations opened up by people quitting, they held the vacation spots and did not post them as available until after the bidding for the next month started. Therefore, although there were open slots, you were not allowed to pick one up because it was not posted until it was 2 late to pick them up.

I talked to the Chief Pilot about it and found he took great pleasure in cheating me out of my vacation. It's a game both sides play. Gojet tells us, almost to our faces, come here and we will bend you over and F you in the A. We look at them and laugh and say, "Not me!". And then sometime soon thereafter we find ourselves bent over. The problem is us, not them.

Sometimes a company has to make sacrifices.

Sacrifices? You mean the Pilots, right? You know what is interesting... I did not see management make any real sacrifices during COVID...they took a 10% pay cut... that was it. I do not see the company wanting to do anything about actually getting people on property... like bringing our contract up to industry standard.... Seems to me like management is ready to exist the stage and leave the Pilots holding the bag. The Pilots who have been at G7 for any length of time have sacrificed enough. If the company wants to continue to play games they will loose. They have always been reactive and not proactive in everything they do and sooner or later it will bight them in the ass.
