I had my interview on 04/14, I thought I did pretty good, the recruiter told me it will take them at least a week to give me an answer if I passed the interview, no HR was there only the captain who interviewed me. Did someone else have interview on 04/14 and had the same problem? I know other days got job offers on the spot. I’m just trying to figure out if I should prepare for “thanks but no thanks”. No ATP

On a somewhat different subject, reading about crime statistics, St. Louis in currently dealing with an astronomical crime rate including violent crimes, assaults etc. Does this concern anyone beyond the typical travel in groups, stay out of dark places and mind your own business, common sense? Clearly, the plan is to spend most of the time at the schoolhouse but one has to venture out at some point to get eat/shop. In my younger years I didn't give it much thought. Just curious what others are experiencing. May also be nothing at all. Thanks..

Complete non-issue for the places you'll wind up hitting for food/shopping/sightseeing. In fact, there are some pretty nice spots to walk around near Washington Univ, etc. While you're down there make sure you hit up Pappy's on Olive for some of the best ribs you'll find anywhere.

Outstanding. Much appreciate the info.
Pretty easy getting around without my own wheels?

Hotel shuttle will take you to TSH HQ, Flight Safety, and to/from the airport. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, and a grocery store.
The are little kitchenettes in the rooms, so you can cook if you want to.

I'd recommend bringing a car if able for the flexibility it'll provide. I work for a competitor, but having a car to get to/from sim without worrying about the hotel shuttle, run errands, etc., is priceless. The light rail runs from the airport into town if you want to see the Arch, though.

You can bring a vehicle if you want. Some in class usually do...make friends with them. Recommend packing a lunch while in training at HQ or FS, as there is very little (#NOTHING) within walking distance for lunch.
