You won't have a problem at GoJet, until they have a problem WITH YOU. Historically speaking, maybe you or a dependent will have a medical issue that GJ calculates as possibly costing money, they suddenly see you as a threat. Maybe military service becomes seen as a hinderance, you are a threat. FMLA leave needed, you are a BIG threat. You get elected as a union leader and do not show yourself to be 100% pro company, you are a threat. Yes, all these things are protected by law, GJ's position, "sue me!"

Schedule
I’m typed in the 737 but I don’t have much time in it.
Hopefully after a year or 2 years I’ll get the call to fly the Maxx with United. I’m just going to chill at GoJet and see how it goes.

It really hasn't been all that bad. Was in a February class and have been on the line for a couple of months now. I was expecting training to be a nightmare after seeing so many people on APC and Reddit complain about it, but it was honestly great training, and the oral/checkride was a breeze. I don't have any big complaints.

How accommodating was the company during training and what was the checkride like? I got a CJO and I am curious about the non AQP training that they provide and whether or not it is a deal breaker to go with AQP or non AQP. Also I'm just curious as to why someone may choose Gojet over another regional. Is there something they offer or provide that another regional dosen't?

You can't be picky with regionals nowadays. Company provided ATP-CTP in Dallas with ATP Jets but if you leave in 2 years you have to pay back that cost. All hotels were provided in addition to per diem during training. After seeing all of this stuff online about how bad the training at G7 was, I was definitely hesitant, but the training was superb and I've never felt so prepared for a checkride before. 2 weeks of indoc, 2 weeks of systems, 2 FTD sessions, 9 sims, checkride, and LOFT. Everybody in my class passed on the checkride on the first try and the company was more than willing to provide several extra sim sessions to those who needed it. Non-AQP should NOT at all be a dealbreaker. G7 was not my first choice but I ended up going with them after YX canceled classes indefinitely. Glad I ended up coming here instead of YX.

Yep lol all of those guys are gone now. Management told us right from the beginning those guys are gone. Some of our class did sims in PHX with CAE and others did it in STL with FlightSafety. Nothing bad to say from my experience. The systems guy in PHX wasn’t great but he’s not there anymore

Chester has been gone a long time. Those were not the bad guys, maybe Sanjay, but I can't say for sure about him. There is no shortage of guys willing to cut your throat for a title. Randy Bratcher was a nice guy but he sold his sole for a title, and later for a higher title. He perjured himself in federal court with the most ridiculous statements, to keep his new title. There are many others willing to do the same thing.
GoJet is not running the show at Gojet, someone at United is. You are probably safe at Gojet now.
But, how long with that continue? Will United eventually shut it down like it did to Expressjet? When will it be profitable for united to cancel the 550 contract and pay GJ to go away? When will United be tired of being embarrased by GJ? When that happens, there will be the old GJ. Anyone want to be Chief Pilot, VP of Ops. Then stay at GJ where there is always a new one just around the corner.
