Since this thread is FUBAR'ed anyway, I actually like McD's grilled chicken better than Applebee's. It isn't as crappy.

This brings up a point. When people start a Gojet thread for the sole reason of getting the gouge on the interview, pay, QOL, schedule etc., it inevitably morphs into a knock-down drag-out urination match. I think everything has been said about Gojet ad nauseum. Why can't a guy just get some current gouge?

To modify the above analogy, imagine this in a restaurant forum;

"I'm thinking about eating at McDonald's tonight. Don't they have a new sandwich? What do you recommend?"

"You're ignorant! Do some research. Don't you know that eating at Applebee's is better? Quit undercutting us and driving down the quality of food by eating at McD's!"

As a suggestion to the mods, why not simply delete posts that are off topic from the original post? If someone truly wants information about the nuts and bolts of working there, then there's no reason why they shouldn't get it. And no, CONJECTURE about how working there would prevent you from getting an interview at other airlines or you'll never get a jumpseat et al. does not count.

I'm not speaking with my emotions just stating my opinion.

I have never flown on Go Jet so I don't know what level of service you provide. What I think is disappointing is the compensation you receive in pay and benefits for the quality service you provide. You should be compensated appropriately for the service you provide as well as your skill, experience and judgement.

Personally I think a passenger that buys a ticket from United or any major should fly on that certificate with that airlines pilots regardless of the size of the aircraft.

Agreed but one question... How will anyone coming through the pipeline survive to be hired to a major when the minimums usually require some sort of Turbine Time and TPIC? Believe me I would love to go straight to Delta out of flight instructing... Don't see that happening though... (maybe I can start a flight school that actually teaches in a jet $1,000/hr for a VLJ)

You are so far removed from reality that I feel sorry for you. Good luck in your career....You will need it

And no I will not respond to anymore of your posts nor will I make any further comments on GoJet....

Some people just drink WAAAAY more kool aid than others, they're called company men. It was company men who started gojet and it's company men who work there now.

AtlPilot404; I'm all for having pride in the service you provide but how about being compensated fairly for it. If you're number 1 in customer service, how come you aren't even close to number 1 in pay? Guy's that are "worse" service providers/pilots/whatever make more than you... by a lot. What does that say about you? (These statements are taking as a given that you are in fact number one,I personally have no information either way)

I think you just made every regional pilot laugh. Fair compensation?

By the way, isn't it interesting how the major pilots at Gojet can't wait to get out, yet the guys from other regional are calling it better than where they came from? It all depends on what you want to take out of it and where your interest lie.

ORLY? What's your source saying GJ is #1? I could really care less, but please, back up your claims.

Of course not, but it refutes e statement that working at GJ will have no impact on your career at all. That is a lie. It will have one. Maybe not a large one, but maybe one more than you would expect. I doubt there is any GJ pilot who would refuse a job at AirTran if it was offered. Doubt it will be though.

Hey there,

I was hoping you may be willing to give me some guidance on how I should go about trying to get an interview at Go Jet. I have sent in my resume and LOR via fedex, I sent in my resume online, and also called and left a message with Kathy in the HR department. I feel I'm qualified for an interview (1500 tt, 1250 me/turbine and am currently employed) but have not heard back. Do you have any advice on how I should proceed or should I just continue being patient?? I appreciate any tips you have. Thanks

Not sure why someone would give their times as 1500tt and 1250 ME/Turbine...doesn't that math basically mean you would have to be a 250 hour wonder? Maybe you ARE gojet material, but if you're currently employed as a 1900 driver why move, the only reason to go to gojet is to be treated like crap for a fast upgrade.... isn't that basically what lakes and gulfstream already do?
