Go Jet 5yr Capt at guarantee $5032 per month Flying 70 Seats
AWAC 5yr Capt at guarantee $5025 per month Flying 50 Seats
AWAC has cancellation pay for WX, MX, Block or better, and various other soft time I cannot remember that I'm sure puts the pay for 50 seat flying on a concessionary contract at a higher rate than your current 70 seat flying rate. The above numbers are directly from the APC Regional pay scales at the monthly guarantee.
5 yr capt pay differences..... monthly guarantee.
mesaba (90 seat) - $5325 ----- that's more than 50 seats.
mesa (70 seat) - $4864 ---- that's more than 50 seats *look at the 90 seat pay if you feel like punching your keyboard.
pinnacle (90 seat) - $5175 ---- that's more than 50 seats
skywest (both the 70 and the 90) - $5175 ---- that's more than 50 seats.
gojet (66 seat) - $5032
none of em are gonna get any of us a bentley.
I'm concerned about your pay because when you are willing to fly larger aircraft for less money it entices my management to outsource flying resulting in the furlough of mainline jobs. This directly concerns me since it is one of the reasons I am currently furloughed. Which leads me to ask where will you move onto if mainline keeps outsourcing more flying. Are you willing to fly 90 seat jets for your 70 seat rates if offered just to get a quicker upgrade?
skywest and mesa are already doing that. so is republic, especially if you compare them to jetblue. regionals are regionals, man. i don't know what else to tell ya.

You know a gojets thread has passed its useful life because after the Gojet cliches are beaten to death over and over and over and over, people start to compare their 50/66/75/90 seat pay, all separated by a few hundred dollars.... even with extra credit hours..
Thank you bernoulli for fishing out what is painfully obvious to the rest.

Of course not, but it refutes e statement that working at GJ will have no impact on your career at all. That is a lie. It will have one. Maybe not a large one, but maybe one more than you would expect. I doubt there is any GJ pilot who would refuse a job at AirTran if it was offered. Doubt it will be though.

Oh sir I wish I could make this up... you should ask one of the UAX guys to most the monthly performance and customer satisfaction surveys... I for one didnt major in IT so it would be over my head... But if you'd like to take my word for it I've seen them when they each come out

I did go to Gulfstream Academy when I got my 250 hrs and am so thankful that I did, because it got me the job im at now. I am flying for a 135 right now making what a 6 year captain makes at most regionals. I want to make the switch to a company that flies jets because all of the majors desire jet time. Im willing to take the pay cut and the "crap" so that I can have a future with the majors. It's not doing me much good flying day VFR all day long to the same airport everyday. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices for future benefits, and if GoJet is looking for pilots then I would gladly go there.

I wish that it was an option, we have only 2 planes and 6 pilots. 5 of them are Captains, so there is not upgrade future with my current company. They pay is great but I will be making the same $$ for as long as I stay here. I would also like to get back to real flying, I mean I actually have to dodge clouds!! Gotta stay VFR at all times otherwise the people wont be able to see the hole in the ground!!

Management: " Care for a big bite of $^*# sandwich?"
Bernouli: "MMM yes sir, tastes delicious.. how much longer do I have to eat $*!& before I get to the majors?"
Management: "Just a little bit longer, quick upgrade coming soon, you'll get your 1000 turbine PIC and you can go work at a REAL airline"
Bernouli : "Awesome, but I can't afford to pay my rent AND eat this month, could I get a raise?"
Management: "Well no you can't have a raise, that airline over there has pilots that will do whatever their management wants for cheaper... but hey we started putting cookies on the airplane maybe you can stock up so you can eat on your days off too."
Bernouli: "Yum, cookies. Thanks! Is there anything else I can do for you management sir?"
I should be a playwright and show that in every flight school. You see kids that's how it happens, you're willing to eat $*^% so you make everyone else too. Management notices that your group will do whatever, that's called lowering the bar....
