Its pretty evident that the original poster is ONLY looking for reasons to go there to rationalize their decision. That's why he only wants GJ'ers responses, not those from us (everyone who doesn't work for GJ) who will tell him what we really think of GJ pilots.

Also comical...those original ones who were looking to circumvent TSA's seniority list. Hmm, isn't that exactly what every GJ pilot is looking to do?

Nah, nevermind. Those ALPA "brothers" from United went there to replace themselves.

Oh, thats right, you wanted to know about the QOL and how they are really treated? I worked at TSA, so YES, I have first hand experience with their management team...since they are the exact same people, less the 3 people required for another certificate. All in all, they are the same airline.

You can basically read anything on here about how waterskiiers are treated and copy and paste that into GJ. Well, except for one thing. GJ doesn't have a union. They have Teamster's 618 which is filled with management. So, lets say that scheduling tells you that you can only have 6 days off and you tell them to screw because the contract says you have to have a whopping 9 days off. Management fires you. You run to the "union" who says, "Sorry, theres nothing we can do" because they are so management friendly.

How's THAT gonna look on your resume?

How much WORSE is it going to be when scheduling calls you up the day that TSA strikes and juniors you to fly a flight with a TSA flight number? Will you say no? Of course you won't because you will be fired and 618 will be sitting by doing nothing?

"Its ok that I went to GJ! They're UNION now!" What a joke.

You may not care now because they're hiring but with that management team who's to say they won't create Gojet II and you get to start over again for whatever reason they feel like. They're scum, if you don't mind being scum go ahead. Looks like a lot of guys have more self respect than that, or they wouldn't still have trouble finding guys.
Compass was created by NWA to take away flying from NWA pilots for a much lower wage. Add that to your axis of evil.

You are right, the difference in pay between Gojet and TSA is small while the difference in pay between Compass and Delta is big.

I'm not really well versed in the creation of compass, but if compass was not created would not the flying STILL have been taken away from NWA pilots for a lower wage, just shifted to any number of other contract carriers or wholly owned such as mesaba?
Had gojet not been created the flying awarded to trans states would have been flown by the pilots of trans states airlines.
I'm open to being corrected on my understanding of compass, but I believe the scope had already been sold when compass was created.

So that would be the apples/oranges.

The odds of somebody at a future interview knowing the ins and outs of the TSA/GoJet debacle are slim to none. I'll lift an eyebrow at you in the terminal, or even give you the regional-toughguy-cold shoulder, but I think that is the worst you'll have to endure from your fellow pilots.

Hmm, still no replies from GoJet pilots; they must be busy flying.

I've read all the other (mostly CLOSED) threads about GoJet on this forum, and I'm not interested in that conversation. I realize that a lot of people have had negative experiences with TSA and that the TSA/GJ question is still touchy with some people; I regret that other pilots have had bad experiences. I also have had bad experiences... that's why I'm looking for a job. And that's why I want to talk to some people who currently work for or formerly worked for GoJet. Thank you for your support.

No per diem or hotel in training. lemme tell you, TSA was no treat to work for, GJ is guarenteed to be 10 times as terrible. Hulas and company are truly miserable people to work for. Ig you go to GJ you'll be faced with miserable management and miserable pilots too. On top of that, and I dont care what some GJ pilots will tell you bout how they arent treated badly, everyone at the very least thinks they are weasels. My experience is when a GJ pilot walks by they are usually ignored or shunned but as soon as they pass by its "scab this" or "SOB that, etc" I dont think that would be a very fun place to work. Just like it was said above......"If you have to ask" you already know the answer

Doesn't Delta require a college education?
