I've read all the other (mostly CLOSED) threads about GoJet on this forum, and I'm not interested in that conversation. I realize that a lot of people have had negative experiences with TSA and that the TSA/GJ question is still touchy with some people; I regret that other pilots have had bad experiences. I also have had bad experiences... that's why I'm looking for a job. And that's why I want to talk to some people who currently work for or formerly worked for GoJet. Thank you for your support.
If you're not interested in that conversation then you're missing the point and don't deserve an airline job right now. I'm tired of people in this industry who are uneducated about how it works. If you are flying 121 with me and I bring up the RLA and you say "what's that?" then you need to go educate yourself quickly. You don't have to keep up on every labor issue in the industry but a general familiarization would be nice. As for how GoJetters are treated, we have one at my airline who was fired from GoJets and I've never met anybody with a single ounce of respect for the guy. He has few friends at the company and I can't imagine he enjoys the job at all.

So yes, it is possible to get hired elsewhere after GoJets but people will find out about you and it won't be fun. You will never be welcome on a jumpseat I have any control over. Call jumpseat wars childish and inappropriate if you want, but GoJetters have cost me tens of thousands of dollars in my career already and as time goes on, that number only gets bigger. Just so you know, I have friends who were never even at TSA that feel even more strongly on the issue than I do. Do yourself a favor and stay away from that place.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but didn't you interview with "GoJets" twice and both times you got kicked out? Sound like you have some sour grapes. Did you tell your buddies at GLA that you tried to get on with GoJet twice?

To answer the original question to the OP, yes there are other places that are hiring. Currently we are hiring at AE. Try your luck with us.

Good luck.

wow copperhed I think you've outdone yourself, so Gojet pilots are the reason for your so far, self claimed, miserable career? The irony is that you were at TSA for what 2 months? 6 months?

Please explain to all of us, how you justify this paragraph when YOU are a Gojet applicant? And what I would personally like to know is how can you continue to disrespect your company and fellow pilots by saying that you are an RJ furlough? That only means one thing, that you are desperate to return to that dirty jet even for what 21, 22 dollars an hour? What did you tell the GojetS interviewer in the resume and in person? Same thing that you told the Lakes interviewer; SIGN ME UP! And you have the fortitude to come on here and say that GojetS has cost you tens of thousands of dollars.

Good bye.

Never showed up to the first interview. Showed up and got in an argument with the CP in the second over not shaving and not wearing a suit. Yes I've told my friends. Yes this is old news and does not change what GoJets is.

Default Friend is a Go Jets Captain

I have a friend who is a GJ captain based in ORD (I think) and living in Atlanta. He has never had an issue with jumpseating, has not had an issue with disrespect from his peers, and actually enjoys his job, such that it is. He would like to move on to a major just like most of us, but he isn't miserable or unhappy there. FWIW, he was not one of the original pilots. Don't know if that matters or not.

Good luck!

Once you acquire the Gojet label you can never shed it. Its like the scab label. It follows you for life.

GoJet is one of the only regional airlines hiring, so for an unemployed pilot trying to stay current it is simply one of very few options right now.

Can any current or former GoJet pilots talk about working there, how they were actually treated by pilots of other airlines, and job opportunities they got or didn't get because of working at GoJet?
I work at GJ, and I'll chime in. Jump seating issues rarely happen. By rarely, I mean I only know of one occasion.

Jr manning has been happening lately, but if you don't answer your phone, there's nothing they can do. I've been jr manned once, and only because crew scheduling got a hold of me while I was on a trip (I had to fly an extra day)

I was a line holder after a month and a half

I have 14 days off this month

Rode the A-320 jumpseat from ord-pdx (ouch) with a go jet guy in the other jumpseat.

The pilots and flight attendants were extremely nice to me, offering an endless amount of drinks, and freshly made brownies during cruise. NOBODY talked to the go jets guy. I kind of felt bad after a while.
