Thoughts about CURRENT GoJet

***Please no flaming. Looking for mature responses.***

GoJet is one of the only regional airlines hiring, so for an unemployed pilot trying to stay current it is simply one of very few options right now.

Can any current or former GoJet pilots talk about working there, how they were actually treated by pilots of other airlines, and job opportunities they got or didn't get because of working at GoJet?

Eagle is hiring too. Also, do you have the TT to try for Delta or Atlas? The USN is looking for civilians with a B1900 type if you have that.

If you are desperate. Just think about your future before you apply.

Let's put it this way...

you're having to ask about it.

that means there's a negative connotation with it.

doesn't matter if it might make it more difficult to attain a future flying job or not.... you're still taking that chance by going there.

Good luck.

Well said, and to add to that, there are still a lot of furloughed 121 guys and Gojet is still looking for people. If that doesn't raise a red flag, I don't know what will.

here is one thing to think about before you decide if you want to go there FAA Proposes Fining Regional Carriers $2.5M - TIME

I know 2 ATA refugees and a United furloughee at GoJet. They never have trouble jump seating and never get any "evil eye" from other airline pilots. Other airlines' pilots j/s on them and they j/s on other airlines....no problem in that department. With the exception of some differences in pay, work rules etc., (who's isn't?) they're no different than any other regional airline.

Remember, what you read on the message boards is generally overly dramatized because it is a vocal minority hiding behind their anonymity.

I only question the ethics of the initial hires that signed on just to circumvent TSA's seniority. They're long past that and most people that work there are like any of you (or me).

Lets see, Eagle is hiring, Compass is hiring, if you insist on lowering the bar Colgan is hiring. In my opinion Gojet is scum, every other regional at least has plausible deniablilty with regard to taking flying from one another, Gojet was created by management to undercut TSA pilots. You may not care now because they're hiring but with that management team who's to say they won't create Gojet II and you get to start over again for whatever reason they feel like. They're scum, if you don't mind being scum go ahead. Looks like a lot of guys have more self respect than that, or they wouldn't still have trouble finding guys.

Are you currently furloughed or are you looking for your first regional job? What about flight instructing?
