Lol yeah sounds too good to be true for GoJet. Just pickups on days off as far as I know. I picked up a 7 hour 1 day last week and it credited 14 hours automatically into my Flica so as long as I can stay away from pay discrepancies I'm happy.

Lets do some math: You get an 85 hour line at very low pay because you can't get a new contract. The airline can't man their trips so rather than a contract with market rates to attract pilots, you agree to this 200% to help the company. You can't even average 5 of the enhanced hours per month because of the yearly limits but lets assume you can. 85 hours times regular and 5 enhanced pays 95 hours so really you get 5 extra hours of pay for the same work. But, wait, don't forget, under the current contract you get 150% so it is really only 2.5 hours extra.

So now you get 95 hours of pay for what in the past would have been 92.5 hours of pay. 95/92.5 = 1.027. Thus, you have gotten a 2.7% raise. Congradulations Gojetters! Rather than the 50% raise the market demands, you have negotiated yourselves a 2.7% raise and gave up a day of your month. Union leadership! Everyone sing along - "So look for, that union label, when you are buy-ing that coat or tie!"

New hires get 10,000 extra. Current captains making say 70/hr get a possible 2.5 hours x 12 months x 70 hours = $4200 if they were able to do that every month. Realistically, cut that in half and you end up with 2100 and gave them an extra 6 days of your year.

Its time to tell them "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!"

Hey man, I'm coming from Express where there is a current 4-7 year upgrade time, and in IAH it's about 2 years to hold a line as an FO. If I can get anywhere close to the 18 month upgrade that they are suggesting, that would be a huuuge pay raise (in my eyes) over the assumed 7 year block i would have spent at XJT.

I hate that I'm starting over, and leaving a company with such great work rules. But I think in the end, it will have been the right move.

Trust me man we're not happy at all. We didn't agree to 200% by any means the company just asked the union and they agreed to it. Let's do the math on that. 200% is better than the original 150% plus the fact the 200% is pay protected.

How do the travel benefits work at GoJet? Do spouses, parents, siblings, kids, etc. get benefits on both United and Delta?

Thanks.
