Gojet Captains Get Pay Raise!
 

Congradulations to the Gojet captains who just got a 15000 pay raise! The only requirements are that you are a new hire and have a CRJ-700 type hired as a captain!

Gojet is not giving new hire 700 typed guys a 15,000 signing bonus. I assume they are being hired as captains or will soon be.

I guess that makes the new hire captain the highest paid captain at Gojet! I guess you could quit and get hired back as a captain and overall increase your pay!

Nobody should complain because the union allows the bonuses.

If you can't hire enough FOs for growth, just hire DECs instead. Problem solved. That GoJet contract sure is a good one.

What is this CRJ-700 type rating you speak of?

Not sure what the OP is even talking about. GoJet is not hiring street captains. Current upgrade time is approximately 24 months.

There is an extra $5,000 for currently typed and current CL-65 pilots. That might lead one to think that they are getting ready to hire street captains.

I first saw a banner sign on this website and assumed management is planning to hire street captains. Then I looked at the website and saw:

"Now offering a $10​,0​00 First Officer signing bonus, ​with no training contract​!
​Pilots who​ are current and qualified with a CRJ type rating (CL-65)​can earn $15,000 when they join our team!"

Management must be planning a big expansion to offer a bonus this high. I guess this will be the place to go!

Note the carefully-chosen words. "Can",...... and "earn".

Clearly you have to "earn" it, but what does it take for you to ("can") earn it?

It's a retention bonus, paid out in installments after completion of IOE, 6 months, and a 12 months.
