Default What is the Deal at Gojet for Cancelations?

Here are the regional controllable cancelation numbers at United, followed by Departartures on-time and arrivals within 14. I had heard that Republic was canceling flights but year to date Republic is 9 points higher than Gojet which is G7? Then I see that Gojet is only getting 38% of its flights out on time?:

ACF D:0 A:14
EV 99.93 % YV 77.45 % YV 87.66 %
OO 99.86 % EV 75.53 % UA 83.60 %
C5 99.86 % S5 75.36 % S5 83.05 %
S5 99.75 % OO 67.01 % EV 82.93 %
AX 99.59 % C5 66.02 % OO 76.29 %
YV 99.28 % UA 64.00 % YX 73.91 %
YX 98.12 % YX 63.76 % AX 73.25 %
G7 89.25 % AX 63.29 % C5 72.34 %
UA - G7 38.40 % G7 47.85 %

The Delta Numbers are similar with the Republic Airline (Shuttle) at 99.9 year to date and GoJet at 89.5 and on time at 41%:

ACF D:0 A:14
9E 100.00 % 9E 78.70 % DL 90.00 %
EV 100.00 % OO 76.20 % 9E 87.00 %
OO 99.90 % EV 76.20 % EV 86.20 %
S5 99.90 % DL 73.60 % S5 84.50 %
CP 99.20 % S5 73.00 % OO 84.20 %
G7 89.50 % CP 65.40 % CP 79.90 %
DL - G7 41.00 % G7 50.10 %

I had no idea it is so bad there. Is it because they have no pilots to fly the planes? Is that why they are offering bonuses of $15000? Are the pilots conducting some type of job action we have not heard about?

Delta and United are not going to put up with 11% of the flights being canceled and 38% on time departures/40% arrivals. They will cancel the contracts.

The Gojet thread and the recruiters make things sound great with 300% overtime pay. Can someone tell me if they really have people showing up for classes there and how many they have per class? No new hires equals no upgrades! No upgrades means the quick upgrade they promise could best be termed "wishful thinking".

I currently have the chance to fly for Skywest and Gojet. The promises that Gojet makes beat those of Skywest but can Gojet deliver with no new hires, or are they getting new hires and all the captains are leaving, that would give a quick upgrade. Also, if Gojet loses a contract there goes 1/2 their flying. Or if Gojet goes Bankrupt they will not be able to reorganize but will have to shutdown, won't they. Reorganization doesn't bring you more pilots.

From what I have been told and have seen the word is out on how bad Gojet treats people which is why nobody will go there?

Those are my concerns. Can some Gojet people set me straight and explain why any of the items listed above are factually incorrect or my reading of them is flawed? How about you new hires, will the quick upgrades happen? When do you get the bonuses? Do the bonuses adequately compensate you for the lower pay than Skywest, the profit sharing, the extra 1000 into your retirement at Skywest?

I'm ready to listen. Gojet is closer to me and their planes are shinny. Talk me into Gojet!

From what all I've read on APC over the last 6 months, I doubt anyone is going to try and convince you to take GoJet over SkyWest unless they're trolling you

So this is what happened. TSH who owns G7, compass, and Trans states is making a system wide move to a Lufthansa scheduling and dispatch system. On December 1st Gojet made a move to the new system flat out. The biggest issue is that G7 was the US launch customer and there have been many software issues.

The pilots are getting excited because there is rumors of a new TA, but also getting frustrated because of the new system. Entire crews have been stranded and scheduling g has no idea where they are. Crews are showing up to the airport and being delayed due to not having paperwork. Pilots are timing out due to delays. This month has been a Clusterf*ck. No doubt.

I have heard that Compass will be the next TSH carrier to move to Lufthansa, but it is not confirmed.

Today an email came out saying they are not going to lose their flying due to one terrible month

Are you sure these are the YTD numbers? With S5 performance that good, why would Delta be suing them? These must be for the month.

The numbers are recent but they must only be for the last month or 2. They say year to date but when does their calculation year start. Since they are both government contractors they might be based upon the government's fiscal year.

So lets assume they are only for the last month. What if the problems continue for another month or 2? Does Gojet have enough pilots? How can they say upgrade will be in 12 to 18 months if they have no growth unless the top half of the seniority list is mostly gone in 12 to 18 months?

Going with the New Scheduling System Explanation above: If I were Delta or United I would be asking, "What type of company makes a major scheduling change like this without first running the new system along side the old system? What type of company switches to a new system without keeping the old system up and ready to go in case the new system does not work?" Will United or Delta really be wanting to give additional flying to a company that just did this? Is the 12 to 18 month upgrade projection based upon the hope of getting more flying from Delta and/or United which may not come after this "fiasco"?

Yes, 20 more planes at Gojet would make a huge difference while nobody would notice at Skywest. But can Gojet show that they can get the pilots so that they can get the contracts? Please tell me, is anyone showing up for their classes? How many are showing up. Could someone who has been there 4 months to a year let us know how many people they have below and how much they have moved up? I'm heard that Gojet does not put out a list except for maybe once a year?

Please, talk me into Gojet. A friend might have a recruitment bonus riding on the power of you all to convince me.

It's GoJet, enough said. Look at their entire history and you'll see it's not just the last couple months. Albeit, it migh be a little worse. I can't even count the times my deadhead on GoJet turned a 14 hour or so overnight into a 10 or 11 hour overnight.

Everyone has delays, but these numbers are crazy bad. I can't imagine that people are not getting fired over this (VP of Ops has responsibility over this I think.)

I hear the TA rumors are false.

Why won't anyone tell me how many people are going to classes? Are they even having classes because nobody is showing up? If you are in class take a 2 minute break and give us some numbers and facts.

Come on Gojet, I'm willing to listen! This is your chance! Tell me, why go to Gojet?

Are you a special kind of stupid? Gojet over Skywest? I've heard nothing but horror stories about GoJet, and I cant stand skypest either, but Skywest has a reputation for treating its employees very well. Go to Mesa long before you ever consider GoJet.
