GoJet's Delta contract...

Rumors are Endeavor will be flying the -700's currently flown by GoJet starting the beginning of next year. Does anybody believe this won't happen?

Probably BS😜 I'm sure Delta is completely satisfied with GoJet's awesome performance.

I work at endeavor. The rumors over here are very strong in that direction. We have been asked by delta to develop maintenance and training programs for 700's. That is public info. There have been a lot of closed door meetings in Atlanta lately between our management and delta. What about is not public, but suffice it to say somethings up. Maybe a couple somethings. I don't mean to disparage, and I hate to see the shell game continue and flying just shifted around, but from every indication over here, GoJet guys might want to prepare themselves. Sorry guys, just a heads up. And seriously I don't have any real Intel, just saying it would probably be unwise to tell yourselves "no way, never gonna happen". Catch my drift? Thanks.

Good luck guys!

Didn't Gojet just get awarded a bunch of 900 flying? GoJet Airlines To Add CRJ900 Aircraft To Fleet -- ST. LOUIS, Feb. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --

I guess a year old article is ancient history in this industry. Maybe their management bit off more than they could staff? How's it going over there at go jet? Filling classes? Or other issues?

The 900s are owned by GoJet. GoJet bought them before they even had a deal in place to fly them. Different deal than the DL owned 700s

I see. Thanks for the info. So what's the issue with their 700's? Poor performance metrics?

Goooojettzzzz! Couldn't happen to a classier bunch, except maybe PSA...

TogaParty 03-04-2016 02:22 PM

How many 700s does GoJet operate for DL?

Ya, they suck. Sucks so bad that Delta has asked their pilots to avoid commuting to work on them because of excessive cancels and delayed flights

Too bad, sat in their jumpseat a lot out of LGA. Nice pilot group in my opinion. Can't judge a pilot group by their management's poor decisions!

Who wouldn't be stoked with a D:0 of 49.47%??

Ya, I think even Messa's Freedom Airlines was better than that back in the day, and weird, now they're gone

panoose 03-04-2016 04:08 PM

What's Endeavor's D:0?

Has to be above 71% to receive performance incentives and I know we've been above that for at least the last three quarters

Someone put it very well in a post not too long ago that if you want to see the bad things that are going to happen look to what the fat rats are doing. Not sure if the "fat" was directed to anyone who is fat or if they just meant higher up. But, either way in this case; Steve Briner left in October to go to Southern. Usually guys don't take downgrades unless they have to or want to get out before they take all the blame. I imagine he knew this was coming and wanted to save himself. Often the Captain is the first off the ship and doesn't bother to tell everyone else it is sinking. This might be the case.

ArcherDvr 03-04-2016 05:31 PM

Man I hate the regional industry.

Oh I hope not. If that is the case then ASA is doomed.

I wish our captains would leave the ship, then our upgrade times will drop haha

Does Endeavor really need a new training program for a difference of 13 feet? Are the 700 and 900 not exactly the same save for next gen? I don't understand why you'd need to develop a brand new program.

I'm pretty sure the FAA requires a training program for any differences training. Just because it is a training program doesn't mean a full blown course. For the 700 and 900 it would likely be online training, or a day of ground and a few legs of OE at the most.

Supposedly it would just be an LMS we are told.

You get what you pay for... Delta should have learned that lesson by now.

Well that's awesome.

Congrats 9E. Even though there is a fairly reliable 700 operator who already flies for Delta.

It really seems that's DL is looking for a single operator that can compete and/or supplement any contract carrier with regional feed. Meaning all types.

Things are different now in more ways than types or cost, it's all in control.

It's relative.

Our problem is not lack of crews, but lack of mx ability to keep the planes from breaking. A good shakeup in that department from the director on down should help that problem.

moflyer 03-06-2016 12:11 PM

Those planes have been around the block. They were delivered to Comair then transfered to SkyWest Inc. Gojet got the contract a few years ago.
