Don't quantify pedophilia as a disease.....this is a unforgivable criminal act committed by a selfish prevented human being who has no regard for the atrocity that they commit. Yes, some commit this crime with remorse for the act, but this isn't a excuse to make it a disease.

Nope. That's not science. A man who is attracted to children is a pedophile and often only finds children (usually holds no preference for gender) sexually attractive. A man who finds men attractive is gay. There is a difference.

It is a disease. It's a mental disease that makes a person unnaturally interested in children. We can either lock them up forever making them a drain on society forever or risk reoffending when they get out or invest in trying to find a cure.

You cannot link mental/psychiatric issues with disease.
Maybe semantics in your mind, but tagging the "disease" name to it is how foundations, and clubs and social norms happen.
Oh we're the days of the 50's when you could leave you keys in your car, front door unlocked and kids could play outside with out being kidnapped, raped and murdered.
I blame the sexual revolution for all these issues of today, what started as "Make Love Not War" and "Sex with everyone" started the desensitization of society.
Now I have to explain to my kids why they can't be out of my sight in public. 7 yr old asking why that man came in the girls bathroom today. Why does a kidnapping, murder, rape, assault, bombing, mass shooting happen daily now
