I was wondering if anyone knew how to set up the avionics in the flight sim so I can fly a profile. I want to get ready for the Sim ride at ASA and figure out how to set it up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS. I'm not a computer guru so if you can use easy instructions I would be greatful.

Which airplane are you using? There is some great add ons you can purchase that very accurate with usable FMS. Here is a link

Version X has the CRJ 700 already built in. Since most of what I read on the board states that will most likely be the plane, or the 200, I was praticing in that.

What kind of flight controls do you guys use with Fligh Sim X?

I have the basic yoke set up. Why was this thread moved from the regional board? The whole purpose of my question was to prepare for a sim ride with a regional carrier!

Microsoft software is airline agnostic, you'll get better response to this question in the Hangar Talk section.

I was wondering if anyone knows how to pull up the frequencies using the GPS. Also I just got it today and was messing around at ATC and it's pretty crazy. You usually get a few people there just playing the game but you can also setup and make your own room with a password. It makes for fun times.

There is a HUGE addon you can get for scenery called Flight Sim Global X. It prettymuch puts the whole world on your PC. It's like 18gb or something like that lol.

This is fun. However I'm finding it annoying to figure out how to be ATC to the full extent.

Just to let you guys know I have a server running called Houston Real Time Real WX. I'm going to go wash my truch then go flying but I figure I'll just leave it up and running as much as possible. So if anyone is flying CRJ700 in there working on systems or so hop in I'll fly with ya.
