Default Escorting family member to the gate - JFK

Wasn't sure where to post this, but I had a question about escorting someone to the departure gate. My parents are flying international this week out of Terminal 1 in JFK. I know all other terminals have KCM but I didn't see it listed for Term 1. Do you guys know if you can get through TSA with an airline ID in terminal 1 if you're not in uniform/not working a flight? They're older and pretty nervous flyers.

[MOD INPUT] For security reasons let's not discuss in a public how pilots can access airport terminals.
