Really?!? Huh. I didn't know that.

Well, I guess there were two bases because I watched them coming and going from NAS Key West.

Possibly two bases! I may completely wrong too, but my feeble mind thinks Norton was the right answer. I would rather TDY to NAS Key west for production than San Bernadino.

Ahhhhh, crossing the Pond at 280KTAS to the dulcet tones of the Allison T56s slinging 16 blades of Ham-Standards around and around and around. Or was the H-model 300KTAS? Some kids were lucky....

32 blades and about 295KTAS for some of us these days. Though, they are much quieter in flight.
